Vehicle Routing for Solid Waste Companies

Late last year, we published a blog article detailing how we developed new vehicle routing and planning functionality for those in the solid waste industry.  Since then, we’ve begun vehicle routing projects with some new solid waste customers which have been successful and we are projecting ROI for them within just a few months following their implementations.

It isn’t just our ability to optimize vehicle routes for emptying waste containers that makes the Roadnet solution stand out. What sets us apart is the addition of vehicle route planning capabilities for handling roll-off containers within the Roadnet Transportation Suite v3.50!

With our long history of 28+ years in the vehicle routing, tracking and fleet management industry – we understand that the solid waste industry is unique in the daily challenges it faces and the equipment it uses. We put a lot of time and effort into building a system that accounts for that uniqueness and solid waste companies are responding.

But the learning never stops for us.

Already we have received excellent feedback from these customers through our consultants on the ground, learning in greater detail what these routers face on a daily basis. This can only improve our routing, planning and scheduling software to their benefit and that of other solid waste companies.

We will be exhibiting at Waste Expo in Las Vegas May 1-3 @ the Las Vegas Convention Center (booth # 4066). If you are attending, please drop by to talk about your business’ specific route planning and schedualing challenges.

At Waste Expo we are offering a specialized Operational Analysis. If you stop by and take our brief survey we will have a Roadnet vehicle routing and scheduling expert analyze your answers and provide you with a custom routing report highlighting specific steps you can take to get more efficiencies and savings from your business.

We look forward to seeing you at Waste Expo!
